What big beautiful ears YOU have

A very special friend of mine (who is four now but was three at the time) asked me if Imagine a Wolf is a good book to read aloud to dogs. The answer is yes, and cats too, although cats may be less appreciative. Reading aloud to a pet is a lovely way for early readers to share a favorite book and gain confidence in reading and storytelling.

What big beautiful ears YOU have

Also a couple of comments about this image. No teenage border terriers were inconvenienced here, instead I worked some digital magic to make this photo happen for you. The Ear hat is real though, and it was originally created for Relief Conspiracy, a worldwide exchange of handprinted postcards among printmakers. The original Ears was made from a shaped luan plate carved, printed in relief ink and colored with watercolors. The piece was interactive as recipients of the postcard could cut out the ears and assemble them to wear. A version of Ears is free for you to download in my shop.
