* PLEASE NOTE This workshop has two parts. The first is ONLINE Wednesday, November 1st on Zoom from 6-8 pm. The second is IN-PERSON at USM Portland on Saturday, November 4th from 10 AM-2 PM. The week of the workshop, attendees will be sent the link to the prep session and the exact location of the class.

Creators of self/hybrid/traditionally published children's picture books and aspiring picture book author/illustrators, this is a dynamic, hands-on, production-oriented workshop for you!

You'll leave the workshop with at least one dummy book in the style and scale best fitting your process, plus art direction for your art sample(s) and a planning strategy for your book project as needed. OPEN TO ALL LEVELS, ideal for first time author/illustrators, and creators who need a jump start on a book project that's written but not drawn, or languishing in thumbnails.
