Pocket trumpet born while stranded in tropical storm on Moosehead Lake

We lived to tell the tale of rough and tumble waves, and of our brave wooden sailboat nearly but not dashed on rogue rocks and our bravest sailor and navigator (Jim). We took refuge at a campsite on a high bluff, hunkering down in our weather-battered tent to wait out the worst of the storm. This paper sculpture pocket trumpet was born in that tent. Through hurricane-like winds and rain, art was made and carried home in a waterproof ‘suitcase’ - this little trumpet was probably the only dry thing to come off of the lake with us.
